Fire Alarm Installation / Service Technician
Full Time

Position Summary:
The Fire Alarm Installation/Service Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial facilities. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience installing and/or servicing fire alarm systems
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and local fire codes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing low-voltage systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NICET Level I or II in Fire Alarm Systems
  • Experience with Honeywell, Silent Knight, Notifier, Siemens, Edwards, Fire-Lite, or Simplex systems
  • Familiarity with network-based fire alarm panels and devices
  • Basic computer literacy for documentation, reporting, and programming
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, or in confined spaces
  • Capable of standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods
  • Willingness to work after-hours or on-call as needed
